I am a long time CSM player and want to finally try out daemons at a local 1500 point tourney.
Here's what I'm thinking, but I would like some advice. I wanted to run soul grinders when I thought it would be higher points but I really don't see fitting more than one in here, and having one would be pretty pointless.
Anyways, here's what I have been thinking of:

Fateweaver
LoC- 3 ML, exalted gift (grimoire), greater gift

10 Horrors
10 Horrors

9 Flesh Hounds

Be'Lakor

10 Cultists

Heldrake


Any help would be much appreciated. I plan to roll the LoC on divination, and the 3 FMCS can just keep buffing each other, while the flesh hounds put on pressure.

Any ideas for this list?

Pretty standard min/max Daemon & CSM ally list (now with added Belakor instead of Black Mace DP) that is normally seen on Dakka.

Yeah it's for a tournament. I just wanted to make sure it was sound competitively before I invest in the models.

Nine flesh hounds won't be much of a pressure unit if you don't go first. Most players will just focus fire on them first turn (since the horrors won't represent much threat, and the flyers are either in reserve or flying), and nine of them just isn't enough to stand up to that without the Grimoire.

Besides, Khorne would prefer you field his units in groups of 8

Yeah, I'm thinking of dropping the Heldrake, hounds, and the greater reward for 2 slaaneshi torrent soul grinders. How about that?

That might give you more punch for sure, but I'd think about making one of those grinders the phlegm bombardment version.
