Hi. Already posted this on BGG, but Space Crusade has a very small community, so I think I might have a better chance of getting an answer here.

I want to paint my SC set but I want the colors and iconography on the marines to be as correct as possible. So what I need to know is which colors to paint the shoulder pad trims? Which iconography to paint on the pads themselves?
Should any helmets etc be any special colors?

As far as I can read, left shoulder should be the chapter logo (Fist, blood+wings, U). Right shoulder shows the squad type? Trim shows company (1st, 2nd...). Is company number actually written anywhere on the armor?

I'm not into SM lore at all... Are the SC squads from any special companies? What kind of squad are they? Tactical? Assault?

(For those not familiar with Space Crusade, there are three squads (Blood Angles, Imperial Fists and Ultra Marines) entering space hulks. A squad is one captain and four marines with bolter, plasmagun, rocket launcher and minigun.)

Any elaboration would be highly appreciated

I suspect they would be veteran (ie first) company as these are generally tasked with this sort of duty and also have the most flexibility in weapon load out.
