Hey everyone,
So I recently picked up the Eldar codex and 1 box of wraithguard and a box of dire avengers brand new for an awesome deal.
I wanted to paint the wraithguard in a cool blue scheme and came up with this

Now I am going to paint my Dire Avengers and was thinking damn they are blue haha
I kind of wanted to try out an Iyanden scheme on them but can't find any reference as to how I should paint them but have an idea of 3 different scheme:

1) Iyanden - base layer Averland sunset, second layer Yriel Yellow (leaving the averland sunset visible in some areas for shadow), then some50/50 white and yriel yellow highlight
2) Blue Scheme same as the above using Teclis Blue base, blue ink around areas, then Lothern Blue highlights
3) Green Scheme - Watered down Caliban Green wash over white primer, Warpstone glow base layer leaving the wash in shadows then some moot green highlights

Which of these schemes do you think would turn out well? I just don't want it to look weird on the dire avengers haha

The traditional Iyanden scheme is really nice, I like the blue and yellow so I'd suggest going for that. The third idea you posted, though, sounds like it could look really good on some Scorpions...

Well thanks for the input I ended up half painting one in the Iyanden scheme and am just uploading a picture right now.
I found that the yellows are really hard to get a nice smooth layer even when watering down and layering in ALOT of light layers. I will post pics soon

I don't know if this would help you but I painted mine regularly but with green on the raised surfaces.

The Riptide can't be a giant death robot, its completely lacking a sword or massive chainsaw. All giant death robots have swords or massive chainsaws.
