Just quick question, why are the ork Nobs called Nobs? Is that some sort of British slang or something? Sorry if I look stupid asking this.

Because GWs space orks are basically British football hooligans. They speak in some sort of underclass English and they're mindlessly violent without necessarily meaning to inconvenience anyone. They just don't think beyond the next fight and the next victory feast (or consolation binge for the last loss).
Nob is either short for nobility (you know what that is) or knob as in doorknob (or penis). Calling someone a knob in England is a good way to start a fight. At least in the areas where you might encounter the guys the space orks are based on.
