He'll Dakka, I'll be going to a 1500 point tournament in February and I would like some help building a list.

(I'm typing on a iPod so for any strange spelling error I'm sorry)
Now I normal play DKoK and I'm rusty with the normal ig codex and I'm restricted to the units I own.
I might buy a new unit or 2 if I need to.

HQ
Company Cmd squad
X4 melta

Fortifications
Defense line
Quad gun

Elites
Marbo

Troops
Platoon Cmd squad
X4 flamers

Infantry squad
Plasma

Infantry squad
Plasma
Vox
Commissar

Infantry squad
Plasma

Vet squad
X3 plasma

Fast attack
Vendetta
Vendetta

Heavy
LR vanquisher
Lascanon
Pask

LR vanquisher
Lascannon

LR punisher

That should be 1480 points

I was thinking on putting the vet and platoon Cmd squad in the vendettas for late game objective grabbing

So Dakka let my know what you think. And advice and criticism wanted.

I'd drop the vanquishers, the pask, the punisher, and buy stripped down lrbts, and add lascannons to the blob. I think it would give you a much more cost efficient way to take care of both heavy and light armor. The leman russes would be better able to take on a wider variety of threats, you wouldn't have the travesty of awful that is the punisher in your list, and with orderable lascannons in your blob you'd have a formidable backfield gunline to deal with things that snuck by the vendettas. Also, i don't have my codex on me right now, but i think it'd save you a buttload of points.

buttload of course being a metric unit that is more than a lot but less than a gak-ton

This list feels like it lacks of pie plat to exterminate the vermin.

I'm not a huge fan of the standard guardsmen with plasma, only 50% chance of hitting, and 17% of almost certainly dying.

If you can, try the codex: inquisition, the inquisitor psycker allowing you to reroll failed to hit rolls will prolly help a lot your blob.

It's good to take advantage of the BS4 on the CCS, BUT, slay the warlord. You can't ask them to bring melee range weapons and not to die quickly, remember, you are a guard.

You want something that can eat tanks ? vets, melta, demolition spec. 130 points, in a vendetta. Pretty nasty. And it can spawn a big demolition charge on top of something you dont like if you dont have a tank in range... like a HQ ? or a terminator squad ? Paladin squad ?

Use the CCS for the orders, safely hidden somewhere. That would be my advice for the HQ.

Your choice of heavy support startle me a bit, you "cant" go in a tournament without a demolisher, it can also destroy a tank as easily as the vanquisher, but he doesnt need to hit, just not to squatter more than 4", BUT it can deal with anything, while the vanquisher wont be of any use against... let's say, anything but a tank or maybe a lone mustruous creature.

The punisher COULD be good, but a leman russ battle tank will outrank him most of the time, remember the BS 3, it hurts. Remember you also have to deal with a lot of 3+ or T5/W2+ enemies, a demolisher will allow you to kill the nasty bikes rushing you, or the terminators, the paladins, the "anything that cost a lot of point and will hurt a lot if given the opportunity to run free".

Of course, it's only advices from i did see the games i played. But remember, fellow guardman player, we are terribly outranked if we're not playing some of our kick-ass weapons.

Thanks for the help , my choose with the vanquisher comes from the susses I've had with them in my DKoK lists. I only added the punisher because I was worried about hordes . I'll drop it for a demolisher and I'll drop the melta off the ccs and and maybe add a lascannon . Also my choose with plasma on normal guardsmen comes from the fact that I have the models for it. But because I'm dropping the melta from the ccs ill replace the plasma.

Do you believe the lust has a chance against some top tire lists?

Well, you lack a bit of artillery or plat pie, bue with a demolisher it will be a start, you have vendetta, you have the aegis, so, without saying the list is good, you have some key point making the imperial guard a worthy opponent.

Against any cheesy list, you will prolly have a bad time, but it's to be expected, but against "normal" list, you should be able to do something.

Alright, I'll have to re-work my tactics from my DKoK tactics. Hopefully some day they will let forgeworld list run. Anyways that's for the help.
