Hey guys I'm looking for some advice on how to use (GW brand) white spray primer. I know the question sounds silly but I just bought some and the white primer seems to be very tricky, whereas the black primer is a few quick burst and your done.

When I tried to prime a riptide and some pathfinders it went like this, not enough, not enough, not enough, TOO MUCH!

Anyone have any general rules of thumb, or should I "always bet on black"?

shake the Sh!t out of it for like 5mins straight. Then prime as normal. I haven't used spray cans in about 2 years so dunno. What I use to do.

Pretty much this, and also make sure the can is upright, move the models not the can to get optimal coverage

What kind of primer do you use? I'm curious as I may switch if the brand you use gives better *control* over the amount used.

I swear by Duplicolor Sandable Auto Primer. I pick it up at a place like Advanced Auto Parts. About $6 a can, and gives a really clean, smooth finish. I'd use that over the GW style any day of the week, as (and correct me if I'm wrong) the GW 'Primers' aren't actually primers anymore. Just regular spray paint.
