Okay, this is a little weird but, in many pictures I've found of the primarchs, some of them have literally hundreds of tubes going into their heads from their power armor, anyone know what purpose these serve?

Angron's are the Butcher's Nails, never seen anyone else with them though.

I think in photos perturabo has them too. I always assumed they were neural plugs that allowed him to control his armor.

Mortarion had a rebreather didn't he? Not sure if it had associated pipework

Angron could be the rage-implant yea, but doesn't explain why Perturabo and Horus also have them.

Could be, but then again, wouldn't Primarchs have the similar organ enhancement to allow them to use the armor as kinda part of themselves?

Perturabo had an NIU (or some such) that allowed him to control his robots in terminator armor. That could account for his neural cabling.

As far as Horus, we've kind of seen Horus at the beginning, and at the end. GW would be wise to show a corrupting Horus and show some form of middle.
