Hello. Brand new to the game looking for guidance on my 1500 point Necron list.

Hq
Illuminnor Szerez

Troops
10x warriors with ghost ark
10x warriors with ghost ark
10x warriors

Fast attack
5x wraiths 4 with coils
5x wraiths 4 with coils

Heavy
2x Doomsday ark

I am not really into the night/doom scythes as im not feeling the look or size of them
And i have gone for the weak but cheap hq as the hqs in general do not seem that great. I was hoping to get spyders and scarabs in there but not sure how.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Well a classic Necron HQ choice that never fails to please is an Overlord in a command barge.

And Doomsday Arks, while powerful and cool as hell looking, are pretty vulnerable and will probably fall quickly to enemy heavies.

Annihilation Barges are good heavies to consider, some players insist on bringing three to every game. They're way cheaper to bring too, a whopping 85 pts less per model.

But if you're not playing competitively I don't see why you wouldn't have fun with this list. My fiancee started with a doomsday ark in her list and she always had fun with it.

I'd drop a doomsday ark and most of the whip coils, and replace with 2x annihilation barges and 75 points of other stuff.

My advice on the doomsday ark, for what it's worth, is drop the pair of them or keep both / add another. The pie plate is awesome, but they generally die turn two. However, if you've got two then you have a healthy chance of still firing one turn three. And the firepower is ace. As long as you can run them from a static position in cover extreme back table ideally with some bubble wrapping.

Scarabs would be ideal for this. If you want them, you'll need to drop one unit of wraiths. If you did this and bumped the other to six you could probably swap szeras for an overlord with semp weave (to tank at 2+ in the big unit mentioned in next paragraph) and resurrection orb. See below:

I'd make your warriors 5 in each ghost arc and then one large unit of twenty on the table. You want a res orb in the big blob to augment the repairing arks and make that blob very hard to put down. Ten warriors can be killed by determined firepower from a lot of different armies. Twenty is much harder to put down. Twenty one if you include the overlord. With all that split fire of gauss you should be able to hurt mech armies that get close.

Good advice you've been recieving. If no scythes, you definitely need anni barges for AA.
