Your sister squads don't have a transport or special/heavy weapons?

Did you mean a Crusader with Psybolt for the Land Raider?

Any plans for dealing with flyers?

Yessir. They are going to be walking in from reserve. Thought about maybe getting an ADL for them, but not sure if that'd be a waste for them. Also the ADL will show clearly where I'm going since I won't want to scout over it. I did mean the redeemer and added Psybolt ammo for the auto cannon. Plan is to hope for the best with the exorcists! I think FMC won't be a problem, because once they are grounded I will have more than enough fire power to kill the. Flyers is really the only glaring weakness I see in this list.

Drop something to get rides at the least for your SOB. Even walking on, they want rides.

Why wouldn't you want to scout over an ADL? Scout is a redeployment not a movement.

Ahhh thought it was a movement. Any idea on AA? Or is my plan to ignore flyers except FMC a decent plan?

I'm a fan of Coteaz in a Bastion, personally.

Can you not got some special weapons in the Sister units for 45pts? Also, is this list a little light on troops or is this how 40k is played these days?

I can, but I was more wanting to see the ideas people had on ow to use the 45 pts. There are many ways to use it, but I wanted to see if someone had an idea I didn't come up with. Also I actually have 6 troop choices. 3 from the sisters of battle squads and 3 from the henchman squads. You could say I have more than I need, but I think the lack of durability in my troops is made up for by the amount of them that I have. So I don't know what you mean by "is this how 40k is played these days".

Your six troops are all VERY fragile though.

True, but the 3 henchman are in vehicles, 1 of which is very durable ( land raider) and the other two opefully being low priority until end game. I think the ADL would help them survive more, but hiding a 3 man henchman squad in a bastion could also work along with a Icarus on top

Keep in mind that most of those henchmen die if that vehicle gets blown too and the ones in the land raider are designed to get out and kill something.

I just think relying on such fragile scoring is a bad idea.

I guess your right. I found a way to get enough points to change all the henchman in the razorbacks to crusaders. That would make them a lot more survivable, but still only be a group of three in each

I think I played against you at Game Empire last week. I was running eldar with the forgeworld hornets. I don't know too much about sisters, but I will say that I like the list you played then better than this one. Those exorcist were devastating, but in this list, it would be much easier to wipe them off the board. Since your troops are so fragile and half are in reserve anyway, I could just devote most of my shooting to the exorcists, and shoot your fragile troops off the board in later turns. I think your other list had something like 2x8 sisters in rhinos? IIRC, both units survived to the end of the game, and had the mission been something other than relic, you probably would have won.

Not played 40k in quite some time, but I used to field a lot of troops. Didn't realise that henchmen were troops but I guess vs most list they won't survive long. 'Pretre' makes a some very good points

Yeah I had a lot of fun that game, but after 6 games with that list and variations, I couldn't win anything. Now that is partly my fault, as I came from playing Eldar to SoB. A lot less forgiving army. However, the list I had been playing against is a lot weaker than this list. Just a few reasons is that I really didn't have any combat ability, while in this list I have a solid combat squad. I have AV 14 scouting Land Raider to help block LoS to the scouting Dominions behind it, and still have all three exorcists. Add in the razorbacks S6 twin-linked shots and this list actually has a lot more potential. Add in the ADL, and I get a 4+ cover save for my exorcists and razorbacks that are sitting back while my 3 immolators rush up with the land raider. I do see that they may be to fragile though, so I am considering dropping one squad of SoB, and adding more to the henchman to make them survivable. I think 3 crusaders in the razorbacks is good enough to survive the imminent blast of the vehicle, but they could use more bodies to help them. Or are you guys suggesting dropping the razorbacks for more henchman?

TBH, I would drop the Canoness/Command squad for a cheaper/Better HQ. Maybe Celestine. That should get you some points.

Maybe drop one henchman squad to beef up the other or both to get rides and weapons for the sisters.

1850 on the dot, makes my troops more durable, and since the canoness will be running with the 2 sister squads coming in from reserve, they will be fearless. They also now have some special weapons to combat back field intruders. canoness not with the command squad.

Better although I'd convert the 5 crusaders to 5 acolytes and get a ride for one of the sister squads.

Dammit man! lol I thought we were trying to get away from acolytes because they are not durable!

They aren't but Crusaders aren't worth the points.

I would trade the 75 points in crusaders for 40 point rhino and 35 points in acolytes.

What does the rhino bring though? 3 hull points? I can't seem to justify a box with no guns when I had two boxes with guns in the OP list.

Does the list need mobility though? At least do the troops need it?

Yeah that's a good point, but wouldn't the 5 crusaders in the razorback be just as good? along with the land raider henchman squad?

Except you are using the bolter back as a fire support unit not an objective taker.

It's true that it originally is meant to be a support back, but against certain matchups, and certain missions it can switch and I'd move all my tanks up hiding behind the first Av 14 tank and second wave of Av13 wave. Depends on how I need to maneuver
