Neophyte undergoing Ritual of Detestation

Mission Type: King of the Castle

Deployment: Modified Hammer & Anvil (No Unit may be deployed more than 8 inches from their own table edge)

Objectives: 2 Objective Markers are placed in no man's land precisely 4 inches from table edge and 12 inches from each player's deployment zone.

The Outflank and Infiltrate special rules may not be used in this mission.

Secondary Objectives: Slay the Warlord, First Blood

This FoR is considered unclaimed and malfunctioning.

It has the following upgrades: Remote Fire, Krakstorm Missiles, 4 Heavy Bolters (one on each side of the tower battlements).

Each game turn before either player moves, all weapon systems fire upon each player's army once. The Icarus fires on flying units as first priority then, the nearest enemy ground targets as secondary priorities. The Krakstorm Missile Battery fires upon the nearest unit on both sides that is not within its minimum range. These attacks are resolved at BS3.

When either army successfully has any Troop or Elite gain access to the Tower or either Bunker, the weapons in that section cease to fire upon the player controlling that section of the fortress and may fire the weapon emplacements at their opponents as normal. Note that for this to happen, a unit must be embarked within the building in question. Otherwise, treat FoR as unclaimed at the beginning and throughout game play.

Victory Points: For each Objective Marker claimed gain 2 Victory Points. For each section of the FoR that a player controls, that player gains 1 Victory Point.

For each section of the FoR destroyed, the player who destroyed it (Total Collapsed or Detonation! results for damage) award the player who destroyed that section of the building a victory point.

Thoughts?

There's no kill like overkill.

Nice scenario.

I suppose the FoR is to be placed in the middle of the map? Because you forgot to state how and where it should be placed.
I suppose other fortifications are allowed? in that case maybe disallow/limit that one with the option of placing an entrance/exit within 12" (cant remember its name), maybe just state that no infiltrators/scouts or bunker entrances can be placed within xx" of the FoR?

I dont have stronghold assault, but if the bunker is too easily destroyed compared to claiming it, certain armies might just be bombing the S#¤t out of it?
