I'm thinking about purchasing a Contemptor dreadnought from forgeworld to model for fun, but I noticed something a bit odd and was wondering if anyone could help.

It would appear that the arms that they sell for regular dreadnought have a similar looking end to attach to the shoulder fitting as the contemptor arms. The housing on the Contemptor shoulder section seems as if it might accomodate both types of arms. Does anybody know if this is true, and contemptors could mount regular dreadnought arms? I am just looking to add a chainfist from the chaos line to the contemptor.

Yes they are the same. My Grey Knights Dreadnaught has the Contemptor Autocannons, perfect fit.
