Hey, I am new to warhammer 40k and I would like to hear you guys' opinion on my Nurgle/Khorne Chaos Daemons 1500 pts army list. So far i've got :
HQ:
- Great Unclean One (psyker lvl 3, exaclted and greater rewards)

Troops :
- 10 plaguebearers (with instrument of chaos and plague banner)
- 2 squads of 10 bloodletters (with instrument of chaos and banner of blood)

Elites:
- 2 squads of 2 beasts of Nurgle (I split them into two because they will serve mainly as protection for the rear armoured side of my heavy support)

Heavy Support :
- Soul Grinder (Daemon of Nurgle, Warp Gaze and warpsword)
- Daemon Prince (Daemon of Nurgle, Daemonic Flight, Warp-Forged Armour and Exalted Rewards)
- Skull Cannon of Khorne

Forifications:
- Aegis Defence Line (with Icarus Cannon)

This all comes to 1498 Pts. What do you guys think? Should I add/remove anything? (please take in count that my strategy was to keep the troops in reserve while pushing past the objectives with the front armour of my skull cannon and soul grinder, and deep strike the troops at the weak spots in the enemy defence and the plaguebearers in the back to hold the objective)

Thank you for your opinon

Bloodletters are our worst troop option. Daemonettes do everything they do, but better, with more attacks, are faster and cheaper.

I find soulgrinders pretty meh honestly. Skull cannon is ok but really not worth the force organization slot.

Daemon princes are your best bet as far as heavy support goes.

Try to get some flesh hounds of khorne, they're pretty awesome, oh and if you don't fit fateweaver in this list the warp storm table is going to eat you alive. hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, the main reason I picked the bloodletters was because I don't want to have slaanesh in it because of the fact that if I did don't wanted to use all the gods in it, but so far I only bought the soul grinder, two bloodletters and the plaguebearers, so I guess I'll stick with the bloodletters and try to fit in some fleshhounds and a fateweaver. Thanks for the feedback

No problem, honestly if you're set on using the bloodletters then make them in swauds of 20, play 3 daemon princes with like fateweaver and a bloodthirster as HQ. That will put enough pressure on your opponent and they won't shoot at the bloodletters much.

Hmm that could work but how do you fit in both the fateweaver and the bloodthirster AND STILL have 3 daemon princes in the HS slots? Isn't that a gak ton of points?.

Under 2000 points, you could fit:

HQ:
Fateweaver
Bloodthirster, greater, greater, lesser

Troops:
20 blood letters
10 plague bearers
10 plague bearers
10 plague bearers

Heavy Support:
Daemon Prince khorne, armor, wings, greater, greater , lesser
Daemon Prince khorne, armor, wings, greater, exalted
Daemon Prince khorne, Amor, wings, greater, greater, lesser

Dude, you play anything you want, but if you want a short list of competitive units,

Khorne: Bloodthristers, flesh hounds

Nurgle: Drones, Plaguebearers, Greater Unclean Ones Soul Grinders and Beasts of Nurgle are Ok

Slannesh: Daemonettes, Daemon Princes, seekers are ok

Tzeentch: Fateweaver, pink horrors, screamer star (9 screamers and 3 or 4 heralds), Daemon Princes

Elites are the weakest force slot, stay away from them unless you think they're cool

Forgot the keeper of secrets... firstly you need him to bring a slaanesh daemon prince as heavy, secondly clocking in at 210 points with 2 greater rewards and mastery 1 on telepathy he's just a beat stick, not to mention being a daemon of slaanesh he's almost as quick as a FMC. but much cheaper.

Listen to these guys, they are spot on!

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them
