So I'm new, but I made some trades and have a decent chunk of Eldar coming my way. I took a "one of each" approach, then doubled up on stuff that I'll have the most fun painting. This is what I like to call "strategy".

Anyway, the way someone explained their idea for the league is starting with 500pts and working up in 250pt increments over a few months until you reach 2000. Seems pretty awesome to me. My problem is that the initial HQ and troops stay the same throughout the game, though you can swap out gear and stuff at each tier. Here's what I have:




So with what I've got, my plan is to focus on Eldar, then sub in some DE allies later for fast up-close damage. I love the look of wraithnouns, so my idea so far is:

HQ: Spiritseer (nekkid) 110pts
10x Guardians w/ Scatter Laser 110pts
5x Wraithguard w/ D-scythe 210pts
1x Vyper w/Scatter Laser & Ghostwalk Matrix 70pts

----OR----

HQ: Farseer on Jetbike w/ Faolchu's Wing & Singing Spear 150pts
Striking Scorpions + Exarch w/ Claw, Chainsword, Crushing Blow & Stalker 145pts
Dire Avengers + Exarch w/ Power Weapon, Shimmershield, Battle Fortune 110pts
5 Jetbikes w/ 1 shuriken cannon 85 pts

1st list is good, only thing is drop the vyper, its to expensive and its damage output is minimal. Instead replace it with another spirit sear maybe.

2nd list is alright. faolchuis wing isnt as good as it looks, drop it. the jet bike is fast enough. drop dire avengers down to 5 man with no upgrades, (Later on in the league theyll go into a wave serpent) or drop them all together. Then, with the points, Give the farseer the mantle of the laughing god, and laugh when the opponent shoots at him.

How is this for #1?

3x Jetbikes (w/ warlock attached?)
5x Wraithguard w/ cannons

and #2?
Farseer on a jetbike w/singing spear, and the Mantle
5x Striking Scorpions + Exarch (tricked out)
10x Guardians to die horribly and be consumed by Slaanesh
5x jetbikes w/ 2x shuriken cannons.

I'm sure all end up using all of these (and add in Fire Dragons and Wave Serpents ASAP) eventually.

Both of those are great lists and i think your set.

(By the way if you want a really nasty list, autarch with melta gun, and then 2 wave serpents with scatter lasers, holofeilds, and shuiken cannons. thats a nasty list)
