I usually make very unorthodox lists because it fits my army and style of play. I had an idea regarding an outflanking theme. As my main opponent is Dark Angels, I added the Fallen Angels formation for extra fluff. Again, this is a test list placed here for scrutiny and critique. 'Ere we go!
Da Barun's Outflankaz:
Big Mek w/ Mega Armour, cybork
20 shoota boyz w/ 2 big shootas, Nob(eavy armor,
pk)
20 shoota boyz w/2 big shootas, Nob (eavy armor,
pk)
20 shoota boyz w/2 big shootas, Nob (eavy armor,
BC)
20 shoota boyz w/2 big shootas, Nob (eavy armor,
BC)
19 shoota boyz w/ 1 big shoota, Nob (eavy armor)
10 grots, Runtherd
9 Lootaz
5 kommandos w/ 2 burnas, Nob (eavy armor,
pk)
5 kommandos + Boss Snikrot w/ 2 burnas
Deffkopta
Deffkopta
Deffkopta w/ KMB
"Orkis" Defense Line
Lord Cypher w/ 6 chosen including Champion (Fallen Angels) 4 plasma, 2 melta
Total points: 1847
The idea is to keep outflanking units in reserve, obviously. Move the boys toward objectives and ambush the enemy's light tanks and whirlwinds with the koptas. One unit of kommandos will try to distract and contest any enemy objectives . The only reason I put the Big Mek is because I needed an
HQ, but he will be in Snikrot's unit. Don't know whether to infiltrate Lord Cypher or outflank him. Both may work; the plasma is for larger vehicles. Besides the boyz units how does the rest of this list look? Is it too squishy?
