Tim Fusco of "Fusco Construction Yards - Battlemech Club" is a Tennessee-based modeller specialising in producing large-scale Battletech Mechs. The Mechs he makes are scaled to the old Armorcast Mechs, so fit in well with 1/60 or 28mm models.

FCY has just opened pre-orders for the MadCat MKII, a 90 ton Clan Assault Mech. It's USD $135.00 plus postage, and will be approximately 25% larger than the Armorcast MadCat.

He also has available currently the Flea Mech, and the Deimos Omnimech. I think he might also have some MKII Vultures left. (?)

I've got 3 of his previous products, his Adder, Vulture MK II and Daishi. The models are really good IMHO, easy to work with, good quality resin, and with good detail for the size (particularly the Vulture.) Tim himself is really good to deal with, and will go out of his way to help out if he can, in my experience.

EDIT - To give an idea of size, the Flea is 5.5 to 6 inches tall, depending on how you set up the legs.

Also, before anyone asks, no, I'm not affiliated with FCY in any way, just thought I'd share the news, particularly about the Mk II MadCat.

Here's some photos from his site (I'd put my models up, but my skills don't do his products justice):

He has the IP license to do this?

Breotan, in all honesty, I have no idea what his business practices are - I am not affiliated with the company.

I will say, however, that there are a number of companies like this that are now producing large-scale Mechs, and Tim has a number of links on his site to them - maybe they're all operating under the same arrangement, I don't know.

I am not the international "IP" Police, and am not in a position to comment on what someone in the States is doing - I'm just an Australian customer who thought he'd share the love.

Regards,

Padre^.

It's less about being the IP police, in this case, than wondering if you send him money if he will be able to actually supply the product.

I would love to get one, but not crazy about the current frames yet; will hold out for a Vulture (mkI, not II), Uziel, or Stalker.

Great find.

Ouze, if it's any good to you he's been in business since 2009, and payments are through PayPal only, so if you're worried, you're protected by them.

Well, that's good to hear. Definitely one to watch.
