Going up against my Tau opponent next week and I'm looking to throw a different list than I usually use at him.
Which of the following 2 lists (now that I've been looking at it more) would be the "better" against the average Tau?

Any comments or critique welcomed!

Iron Hands

Chapter Master (Auspex, Melta Bombs, Power Fist, Storm Shield, Terminator Armor, Primarchs Wrath, Teleport Homer)
Honour Guard (3 + Champion, Chapter Banner, Drop Pod)

Ironclad (Hurricane, Seismic Hammer/Flamer, Drop Pod)
Ironclad (Hurricane, Seismic Hammer/Flamer, Drop Pod)
Sternguard (8 bolt guns, 2 heavy flamer, drop pod)

Tactical Squad (8 bolt guns, plasma cannon, plasma gun, drop pod)
Tactical Squad (8 bolt guns, plasma cannon, plasma gun, rhino)
Tactical Squad (4 bolt guns, flamer, razorback, TL LC)
Tactical Squad (4 bolt guns, flamer, razorback, TL LC)

Vindicator
Vindicator
Centurion Devastator Squad (3 Grav Cannon/Grav Amp, Omniscope, Land Raider)

The loose plan : Drop the Chapter Master + Honour Guard and 2 ironclads amongst his lines T1, hope for the other 2 to come in asap where needed (homer on the CM to drop with accuracy near him).

Vindicators and Land Raider (with Centurions loaded up) move up the middle and swing towards larger threats.

The 2 smaller tac squads hold home objectives with their Lasbacks shooting at enemy tanks from cover if possible.

My opponent tends to bring (if I remember correctly) 2 Pathfinders, 1 Kroot squad, 1 Fire Warriors unit, broadsides, Commander Farsight, 1 Riptide, 2 - 3 tanks and a stealth suit team (plus more I can't remember off the top of my head) and LOVES to Jump-Shoot-Jump.

** Note : I'd love to go dual HF on the ironclads, but I don't have the bits so I'm stuck with that configuration (for now). I also don't have MultiMelta/Melta tacs available (or else they'd be going in the drop pod). I do have some Combi-melta stern available and many (many) other models however if anyone can see things that should be swapped out.

** And for the record, the Ironclads were worth their weight in gold in our last outing, surviving 4 out of the full 5 turns and wrecking havoc in the backfield! I definitely want to keep them in!
