Imperial Recruit in Training




Some time ago I started from 750 army and moved to 1k. Guys in LGS are doing newbie 1500 games, so I want to participate, while I don't have enough time to paint many guardsmen. It's the quick move from 1k to 1,5:

HQ: CCS, 4 meltaguns; Chimera with multi-laser and heavy bolter @145
Troops 1 and 2: 2x Veteran Squad with 3 plasmaguns; Chimeras with multi-lasers and heavy bolters @170 each
Elites 1: Stormtroopers with 2 meltas @105
Fast 1: Vendetta @130
Fast 2: Hellhound with heavy flamer @130
Heavy 1: Manticore @160
Heavy 2: Leman Russ Executioner with plasma cannons and heavy bolter @230
Heavy 3: Leman Russ Punisher with heavy bolters? heavy stubber and Commander Pask @260

The main question is - should I sink points on Leman Russes, especially Punisher? My idea is to send many wounds to monster creatures, using Pask's BS4 and re-rolls to wound. Or maybe I should try to field as many Standart LRs as I can? Maybe even take inquisition instead of sinking points on Punisher?
