Hi, I wanna start off by saying I've not actually played Warmachine yet so I'm as new as you can get to the system.
I'd like some advice or opinions on the list I've made because I like how the models look and some of them I already own.
35 points Cryx
Lich Lord Asphyxious
- Skarlock Thrall 2 pts
- Deathjack 12 pts/6pts with Asphyxious' jackpoints
Bane Knights (9 grunts and leader) 10 pts
Bane Thralls (9 grunts and leader) 8 pts
The Withershadow Combine 5 pts
Bane Lord Tartarus 4 pts
The tactic I was thinking of using would be sending down the Knights in the middle, the thralls on one side, Tartarus with the bane unit I think will need his help the most and the deathjack with it's arc node on the other. With the Combine and skarlock helping Asphyxious keep as much focus as possible for himself to use his spells. Which is kind of a simple tactic but that's just what I've thought of. I've also dabbled with a list that doesn't have thralls but has a reaper instead for some get over here action with the Combine but that only leaves me with one point left and I'm not that fond of what the machine wraith does. Anyways, I would like advice and opinions on of this list even though the information on how I plan on playing is very limited.

Which models do you already own? I would make some pretty significant changes, but let's try to use what you have already.

I own Lich Lord Asphyxious, the bane knights, Bane lord Tartarus and I've ordered the Combine.

Ok great, so you haven't purchased anything that most people would suggest you remove. You've built a good foundation for an eGaspy list; I think you should stop there and do proxies for the next few games to make sure it plays how you want it to.
eGaspy doesn't have a whole lot of use for the Deathjack. It's an incredible piece, no question, but eGaspy's spell list doesn't work well with it. The Deathjack cannot cast Self or Control spells, and those are the most potent eGaspy has. Likewise a Skarlock thrall won't be doing much good for you either. I'd drop them both and invest the 14 points elsewhere.
You're really, really missing out on Bile Thralls. Excarnate is an amazing spell; particularly when you use it to create a Bile Thrall far closer to the enemy than he expects. Here is a pretty standard eGaspy list.
eGaspy +6
Cankerworm 5
Node 4
Max Knights 10
Min Thralls+UA 8
Tartarus 4
Withershadow 5
Biles 5
Total = 35
At the end of the day the game is about playing what you want, but that list caters to what eGaspy does best.

Thanks for the replies, I'll proxy and see what I think about the stuff I have now and later I'll try out what you suggested just to see the difference.
I ended up with a Reaper after my visit to the store to pick up my Combine because I really liked the idea of dragging something in and then charging with the Combine and try my luck for Dark Industries. Oh woe upon me for my problems of picking up models I like the look of before I ever know if I'll have a use for them

The reaper is not a bad warjack. It's actually quite handy with Asphyxious the Hellbringer (3gaspy) because it adds that much more distance to his threat range.
When the Reaper + WSC combo works, it's magical. Creating a Seether as a reward for removing your opponent's heavy warjack is awesome. I have won a few games with that tactic but it's not something I would bank on happening. The problem comes in regarding the logistics of it.
First, the Reaper has to both hit and damage with the harpoon in order to drag it in. RAT5 and POW12 make this a bit troublesome and costs one or two focus to make it a sure thing. Then you need to damage the warjack enough that your WSC will finish it off. The Reaper is quite good at that, but buying attacks still costs focus that Gaspy would prefer to keep. After that, your WSC must be within melee distance, preferably in a charge formation to guarantee the kill. Getting a charge is rather bothersome with the Reaper because it's a large base that just pulled another large base to it, so you have to charge the side of your target. If they're charging, then that also means the puppetmaster isn't giving you a reroll and Admonia isn't stripping upkeeps - both of which may be integral to that turn's strategy. If your Reaper did adequate damage then a charge may not be necessary. After all this has happened, then your newly birthed Seether needs to have an open lane to get out of, so you can't block off crucial movement areas when you come in with the WSC. Malice (character upgrade Reaper) has an easier time of it because she's RAT6 and has Possession - she can make the enemy warjack walk out into the open and give the WSC its back arc. That comes at a two point price increase, though.
Of course, this is all assuming your opponent put a heavy warjack out in the open for you to get to or that your opponent has warjacks at all. You might be playing against Hordes.
That all being said, just a plain Reaper is nice even without bringing the WSC into it. Pulling a warjack or warbest 8" out of formation can instantly single it out for destruction or open up attack vectors that previously weren't possible.
