I am having trouble deciding on what to do with the cave on the base of the daemon prince ive been working on. Maybe have a plaguebearer come out? maybe some bugy looking eggs?

Thoughts?
Also, do you think anyone would give me a hard time for playing this model as a daemon prince in my daemons list?

How about a cowering soldier from one of your regular opponents armies? One who is hiding from the wrath of Papa Nurgle?
I wouldn't mind having the model as a Deamon Prince, while he looks the part. I doubt anyone would have a problem with it come to think of it.
Kind regards,
Low

wouldnt have a problem at all, rule of cool wins out here. id have loads of bugs swarming out, like wherever he lands the surrounding area starts to rot and decay in his presence and there are loads of bugs coming out to help
depending on what your normal basing theme is you could have dying vegetation over it, like plants wilting under him

Swarm or the old school nurglings and green stuff maggot flow i like the idea of decaying plants so many possible scenes maybe go with a swarm of nurglings and like some hot glue water effects with some green paint to make it look like they just surged forth from some sort of slimey birthing

Thats really cool! and I love that its a different take on the classic daemon prince its is extremely nurgly and your green stuff work is really nice, I especially like the work done on the flesh and muscles.
