Markerlights need to hit first and if he shoots Markerlights at flyers then hes getting even less Markerlights to hit (snapshot) then if hes shooting them at non-flyer? if you want to take out his diving jink save then that 2 lights down, to bring a snapshot back to bs4 that 3 more, you would need 30 markerlight snapshots to put 5 light on a flyer. A drone controler commander with velocity tracker doesnt make the markerlight drones skyfire, I think the only dude that can add markerlights efficiently on flyers is the Skyray and even then its only 2 marker light each on bs4. A tau only has so many markerlight and the goal against Tau is always to remove his markers first to render him considerably less efficient. Paroxism and the horror I could see as being very usefull against tau too.

str. 4 shots. I had not thought of that, nor seen it talked about. Also, your tervigon points are off; that build is 220 pts.
I like it, but since when has two troops been smart at 2k points. Opponents will kill Tervigon in one turn with focused fire, and gants next when they come on. After that it's just turtling for the win or a draw at worst.
killing a far tervigon isnt that easy, if hes right beside your entire untouched army then yes most lists would kill it no problem but I dont think it should be that easy if I choose properly where to put the tervigon, and even though I only have 2 teams of troops they arent exactly min-sized, they can both take a lot of firepower before croaking and one of the 2 breeds more troops. if I start then I have 3 teams assuredly.
you are right about the the tervigons point cost being off but you were off too

its actually 225pts (5pts for clusterspines) will recheck that in a minute

170 1x Exocrine
170 1x Exocrine
140 1x Mawloc
2000pts total
More Troops and more Pinning Large Blast. Less awkward since at most its gonna be 60 dices to roll per unit, total of more dices being rolled but less blocky and easier as a footprint to move around.
I think this can work.
Warriors are cool because they are synapse and can take anti-infantry/heavy infantry guns very well so until the devilgaunts come out of the opponent only has the venomthropes to aim the anti infantry guns at and those 2 are hiding as much as possible behind line of sight blocking stuff like the exocrine and bigger pieces of terrain.
what do you think now
