Just received a Scythed Hierodule I won off Ebay, and I noticed it looks different in color from the Tau Tiger Shark I ordered directly from Forge World. It's got more of a yellow/greenish tint. The detail is very good however so I can't tell if this is fake or not... there's no double mold line either.

Ya, it's either an extremely good recast or just an off color resin from FW... the detail is very nice. Hmmmm

Was it from China or Russia and really cheap?

No it was from Pennsylvania, and it was a good deal, was $110

Probably bought in the past fro ma certain Chinese website and sold to you.

Enjoy it, if it's a good cast who cares if it's "fake" or not?

Resin CAN turn yellow if exposed to air for a long time. so maybe it wasnt always packaged up. But those are also not forgeworld bags, so likely its either a recast or someone left it lying out in a bits box, unpackaged somewhere and just put it in some new bags. Either way, if a rrecast is to good to tell, its too good to tell.

I have some Capillary towers that colour which I'm pretty sure were recast. However the torso of my Hierophant was that colour and I got it directly from Forgeworld.

Haha just started cutting off the extra resin and it actually smells strongly of chemical when cut, which the FW resin did not. =( oh well! It looks great!

I've gotten Rhino doors of that colour once. Admittedly it was on eBay but many years before any Ruskies and Chinese started recasting. Could just be really old.
