I'd like to start a Necron force and I'll begin with a 1000 points. This is going to be my setup for a 1000 points and I will expand to 1850 in a few months.

HQ
Necron Overlord
-Catacomb Command Barge
-Warscythe
-Mind Shackle Scarabs

Troops
10 Immortals w/ Tesla Carbines
Night Scythe

10 Warriors
Night Scythe

Fast Attack
5 Wraiths w/ 4 Whip Coils

Heavy Support

Annihilation Barge w/ Gauss Cannon

That's a pretty good list for non spam. Bit unsure about the command barge, I've never used one so I don't know how they run.

I'd consider swapping the command barge for destroyer lord w MSS and sempiternal weave to go with that lovely unit of wraiths. With the extra points you could add another wraith to the unit too

I would consider running the 10 immortals in the NS with Gauss instead of Tesla - The reason: If your dropping them off from a NS you will likely put them into rapid fire range of something to get more shots. I think Tesla is better for long range shooting backed by Triarch Stalkers.

Also with the ABarge - go the Telsa Cannon as the 2nd weapon. You will be moving and shooting your main gun and snap firing your second gun so you may as well make it Tesla to get extra hits on the 6's you do roll.

Wraiths - I would consider dropping the whips and getting an additional Wraith instead for greater survivability.

What about this (staying close to the setup you wanted but with a couple of tweaks):

Necron Overlord, Warscythe, Mind Shackle Scarabs, Catacomb Command Barge

10 Immortals w/ Tesla Carbines
5 Warriors, Night Scythe
5 Warriors, Night Scythe

6 Wraiths, 1xParticle Caster

Annihilation Barge w/ Tesla Cannon

1000

Gives you an extra troop option, greater durability of wraiths and a more effective ABarge.

whip coild are great for what they do, but you don't need quite as many as you have. (however, with necrons filling out ten points can be pretty tricks, so you may as well keep em)

the list posted by Mcbain is pretty cool becuase its pretty much what you already have in more useful configuration. Having some troops o the ground at the start can be very useful!
