Like the title says, I'm trying to get back into the game after a good long while away, so I have no idea what is and is not good. I want to throw up this list for C&C, as well as what (if anything) to replace stuff with. I have just about everything before the Battle Engines dropped, and I'd like to steer clear of the Wraith Engine & Kraken (I don't have the budget to get them right now).

- eGaspy w/ Cankerworm, Defiler, 2x Nightwretches, Skarlock
- 10 Bane Thralls w/ command
- 10 McThralls w/ 2 Brute Thralls
- 6 Bile Thralls
- Withershadow Combine
- Tartarus
- 2x Bloat Thralls

Just going with what I know, but education would be nice. Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to put the point total, which is 50...

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

No worries on the models you don't want; the Battle Engine is a bad in-game investment and the Kraken works best with other casters.

eGaspy only needs one, maybe two arc nodes at the very most. A third is too redundant; the second one probably is too since you have clouds to block LoS to it. The Skarlock doesn't do a whole lot for eGaspy because the only spells it can cast are offensive ones. The Skarlock cannot boost to hit higher defense models, and if you're within offensive spell casting range then your Skarlock is probably already dead or will be in just a moment. These guys are best used to cycle defensive spells like Ghost Walk and such. eGaspy has no such spells.

The Bane Thralls are nice, but the Mechanithralls are less so. eGaspy does not have any method of boosting their MAT so they're not nearly as good as they are with pDenny, pSkarre, etc. If you had a Necrosurgeon or two then they'd make an adequate tarpit, but eGaspy doesn't need tarpits. Banes eat things, and you have clouds to protect them from charges so they always get the alpha strike.

Speaking of Banes, you are missing at least a minimum unit of Bane Knights for Gaspy's feat turn. With Ghostly and Reach, the Knights are by far the best thing to bring back during feat turn. In a 50pt game I would make it a max unit of Knights. More units on the board, Vengeance makes them scary fast and brutal, and it's another thing for Bane Lord Tartarus to help out with Curse.

Tartarus and WSC are both fantastic, so they should stay right where they are. Bile Thralls are the perfect thing for Excarnate shenanigans, so definitely keep them as well.

Bloat Thralls are... not the greatest. They can be amusing the first time your opponent doesn't know what they do, but after that they'll just eat a bullet or be fed something too far away from actual targets to do anything worthwhile. I would remove them as well.

With all your points left over, I would get a few things. As mentioned above, a max unit of Bane Knights. I would also pick up a pair of Pistol Wraiths for ranged support and locking down big scary things like heavies and colossals. Further, I would pick up Gorman di Wulfe for even more lockdown on heavies or even more armor debuff when necessary. Dropping Black Oil on something instantly lets all of your Banes hit like champs and it can combine with a Pistol Wraith's Death Chill ability to completely remove a model's turn. Alternatively, getting Saxon Orrik for the purpose of granting your Bane Thralls the Pathfinder trait is always a fair investment. Few things are more bothersome than a linear obstacle in your way of a charge target. If your meta plays with ample terrain, get Saxon Orrik. If not, Gorman is always nice.

Lastly, I would get Darragh Wrathe. He does so much for this undead-heavy list that it's crazy. With Death Ride, he grants all of your units within his respectable command range +1" of movement out of turn. This can be huge for repositioning. If something you want to charge is out of LoS, this gets another inch and can turn around. You can play around with forests by being 3.1" into the forest to remove LoS from your opponent and then move them all up 1" on your turn in order to charge out. His ability Beyond Death can keep your Banes on the table longer if you're facing a large amount of low power shooting and blast damage. Most people try to wipe out Bane Thralls with blasts due to Stealth, but POW7 blasts are now POW5 and need 11 to kill. Sad times for your opponent.

Edit:

If you remove and add what I mentioned, the list would wind up like this:

eGaspy +6
Cankerworm - 5
Deathripper (or Nightwretch) - 4
Bane Knights - 10
Bane Thralls - 8
:: Officer & Standard - 2
Bile Thralls - 5
Bane Lord Tartarus - 4
Saxon Orrik/Gorman di Wulfe - 2
Darragh Wrathe - 4
Pistol Wraith - 3
Pistol Wraith - 3
