Hi guys I am basing my pre heresy death guard and I've mislaid my flight of the Eisenstein.

So what was the terrain like before the virus bombing for my bases ??

I wouldn't say black, barren can mean all manner of colours.

I would say it's most likely going to be (pretty much any) brown colour. That or orange like the dust/dirt in the centre of Australia (or GW's Blackfire Earth texture paint if you prefer).

I've had really good experiences with Blackfire Earth, I use it for both my Evil Sunz and my WoC to great effect - paint the base BF Earth and then was Agrax Earthshade. That's it!

I haven't tried any of the other textures, but if they're anything like Blackfire they're definitely worth it
