So I have only been playing for a month. I bought a BattleBox for Menoth. I have been reading Battle College and such trying to figure out where to go with my army. I have gotten some great advice from the people on this here forum and I wanted to try this out. Let me know how this looks as a starting, non-competitive just for fun at the moment, army. Thanks

Warcaster
Grand Scrutator Severius
Blessing of Vengeance
Vigilant

Solo
Covenant of Menoth
Eiryss, Angel of Retribution
Vassal Mechanik
Paladin of the Order of the Wall

Unit
Choir of Menoth
Exemplar Errants w/ UA

Let me know if this is a good place to start!

You have Sevvy's Character Warjack, which is off to the right bat. Vigilant I am not too sure about using with him, although you could use it to protect the old man against blast damage. The major downside is that you have no heavy warjacks for heavy hitting power. My suggestion is to pick up one of the two Plastic Warjack kits (although I say get both) and Magnetize them, as a few of our strongest jacks are in those boxes (i.e The Crusader, Reckoner, and Vanquisher).

For units, I say that is good as is for now, as you have the necessary Choir and Exemplar Errants are a damn good jamming unit in Menoth.

Now for Solos, it is not bad, but you are missing a couple of things. First one being the Vassal of Menoth, which works hand in hand with the Choir of Menoth for Jack support. Paladin is a good solo, but often gets target so you may or may not want him in your list, if you do, keep him behind and use him to hold zones and objectives. Also, one solo I would get for the Exemplar Errants is Rhupert Corvolo, which is a merc that works well with them as they make their potential as a tarpit unit even better.

thanks for the advice. what if i drop Eiryss, paladin, the revenger and Mechanik and throw in ruppert and the reckoner? Little bit more heavy support and my tar pit gets even harder to move through.

I would not drop the Blessing of Vengance, since it goes really well with Severius. The jack I would say to drop at this time is the Vigilant since he seems he is not going to do much other than protecting Severius, in which the Blessing does as well and helps arc his spells while giving him a bonus if he does.

so I'd go something like:

pSev (+6)

Blessings of Vengance (7)
Reckoner (8)

Max Errants w/ UA (10)

Choir (2)
Vassal of Menoth (2)

Two point solo (either Gorman, Rhupert, or Wracks and a Mechanic).

I think that looks pretty nice. The Vassal of Menoth could be changed out for the Covenant if you wanted the Errants/Rhupert/Covenant combo.
