Hello to all,
I've searched high and low but having real troubles trying to find a 40k event in the South of England.
There's many it seems in the North, surely there's club that run events or regular tournaments somehwere in the South?

Can anyone help me out and give me some pointers? 1 day, 2 day events, comp'd or not, just looking to build a diary of potential events for this year.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there.

I dont think he has anything in the immediate future but VonWar is a site worth keeping an eye on for upcoming events.
I have attended several of his tournaments before and can highly recommend them, lots of fun.

Also Spiky Club in Reading occasionally run events, may be worth dropping in to their site.

Hope you find something

South East London

Do you mean South East or South West?

The Spiky Club events are awesome and well worth checking out, as mentioned that's in Reading.

South West you have Bristol Vanguards, they run Vanquish which is a very cool Tournament.

If you are near London Darksphere occasionally run 40K tournies and their new shop is massive so they could now do a good one.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the replies.
I live in Reading and know Spikey but they only run a few events a year, nothing till May :(
So I have May October plus November sorted (Reading Wargame Association is the November event).

Really was hoping to find more to fill in the gaps.

Local-ish would be ideal.
Never heard of VonWar - This is them? - http://vonwar.blogspot.co.uk/
Looks like they run events in Aldershot?

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Oh, and I just found The Woking Weird Boyz -

If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to post. Thanks.

Yeah thats the guy.
His last tourney was in Aldershot but he moves around. Nick himself doesn't have a store or club, he uses other venues in a sort of nomadic series of events that all come under the VonWar banner.

Depending on how much you want to travel, there are the annual Plymouth Association of Wargamers and Exeter Legionary shows. PAW tends to be a Feb event (1 - 2 Feb this year) and Legionary is around May.

I go to a club in Colchester Essex, not sure if this is in your travel range.

They do quite a few tournaments each year. They have a two day 1750 tournament end of Feb. Check http://www.4tkgaming.co.uk/warhammer%2040000%20tournaments%20.html for dates.
