So I've been working on building and optimizing my Dark Angels army for about a year now, and I have decided to rebuild my 1500pt list and make an additional 500pt addition to play 2k games with some friends and this is what I've come up with so far and was wondering what you all thought, ideas, pointers and what not.
Edit: Due to a post below I felt the need to make it known that we are not currently playing Pt Scoring games, we are currently playing Last Man Standing games for the time being, but advice on getting my army ready for Point Scoring games is equally welcomed.
1500 pt List
HQ
Belial w/ TH/SS - 190 pts
Elites
Deathwing Knights - 235 pts
Troops
5x Deathwing Terminator - w/ CML + Dedicated Transport --- 245 pts
Land Raider Crusader- w/ Deathwing Vehicle/Multi Melta/Storm Bolter(45pts) -295 pts
Total (540pts)
5x Deathwing Terminator- w/ AC + Dedicated Transport --- 240 pts
Land Raider Crusader- /w Deathwing Vehicle/Multi Melta/Storm Bolter(45pts) - 295 pts
Total (535pts)
2000pt addition
Fast Attack-
2x Nephilim Jetfighter /w Twin Linked LC-- 180pts
Total (360pts)
Elites--
Will possibly be one of the two I'm leaning towards the Knights but we shall see.
Dreadnought- with Venerable/Multimelta(0pts)/PF w/ Heavy Flamer(35pts)---- 135pts
or
Adding 3x Deathwing Knights to the existing Knights unit at 46pts/model -- (138pts)
Knights Total (373pts)
The general Idea is probably obvious but for the sake of any who may not see it, I plan on running the Termies in the LRC to progress across the board safely while taking out as much as they can til I decide to depart the termies most likely around mid. As for the Deathwing Knights and Belial, I will be Deathwing Assaulting with them, picking a prime target thats needs to be taken out immediately with Smite Mode if necessary being as I have used them previously and they have extremely high survivalbility. When moving on to the 2k army the 2 Nephilim will provide (Anti-Air)** and more heavy fire support. ** Assuming that Flyers can fire at other flyers with full BS rather than BS 1 this I am unsure of but would even the battlefield slightly against armies with flyers of their own.** Please correct me if I have the wrong assumption.
As far as the Dreadnaught/Knights go I feel the Knights would pose more of a threat than the dreadnaught as the Knights will be dropping in with Belial and be a Unit that no one wants to come into CC with, and the dreadnaught could be picked off as he makes his way across the board with no drop pod.
Also thinking about swapping out a few PF and SB for a couple pair of lightning claws on the two Termi units so they are so squisy in CC.
Please feel free to critique as necessary I am by no means a veteran player and still have much to learn. I appeciate any and all contrstuctive critisism and so on and so forth etc etc. Thank you for your time.

The knights need a vehicle..... they have a 3++ but they will still get shot up good

I had taken that into consideration but I had planned on keeping them engaged in CC as much as possible so that they would take as little shots as possible and I plan on bringing them in via Deathwing Assault with Belial, but that would leave them open the turn they DS since I can not charge/assault on a DWA. I'm not sure now that I have said it to myself again I need to look into that.
The more and more I learn about the game and my army and how it works the more I love it but the more complicated it becomes to build a well functioning well rounded army.
I need to look into how a drop pod works exactly as well if I can choose to disembark from it that would be beneficial to me, leave them in the first turn, but then again it would probably get blown up since its armor is relatively low.

You cant take a DP with the knights, as far as i know only space wolves can put terminators in drop pods

Yea you are right I had never looked at that before. Now I'm curious, the DWA could be sucessful if the Enemy team didn't shoot at them, but thats hopeful thinking, I wouldn't want to leave them open to an entire army firing squad. So now I need to decide what to do.
Maybe fit in another LRC for the knights and belial and drop something idk.  Couldn't possibly do that in the 1500 pt list would have to be done at the 2k

Start with three Crusaders, three DW terminator squads of your choice and Belial. That can all fit under 1700 and gives you about as good of a core for DW as you are going to get. You have saturation and have made target priority difficult.
You'll need MM, THs, and Chain Fists for anti-armor duty.
With this core, however, you may need a standard of devastation to make those hurricane bolters work extra hard against light armored infantry. It's a thought but eats up a lot of points in command squad points hike.
Since points are tight, I would give up trying to include AA and instead try to sure up your ability to score. Scouts in the back field with a ADL/QG perhaps. Power armored marines for greater durability.
Really, I think poor DW is impossible to be successful with. To support the core set forth above I would replace Belial with Azrael, include a RW command squad with the standard of devestation to follow and be protected by the three crusaders. When the time to strike is appropriate, break formation, assault with the terminators, and support a flank with the RW unit(s)

I should apologize, at the moment we aren't really playing Scoring games so much as last man standing games. I will edit my original post to let this be known, althought I am sure at some point we will try playing Point scoring games and I definitely see where your advice makes sense.

The DA flyers are bad. Take them if you like the model, but from a competitive view they are a waste of points.
I'd take the flyers out for sure. Give the knights one LRC, and with the points from the flyers get an assault terminator squad with belial to go in the other.
Your DW who are going to be shooting will be in reserves to deepstrike on turn 2, and they will use belials teleport homer to come down where they can do the most damage, and also be protected by a LoS blocking LRC.
This way your whole army is in your opponents face, potentially assaulting with 2 terminator squads on turn 2.
Consider a librarian on a bike with a PFG to help keep the landraiders alive.

Droppods with deathwind launchers, nice distraction when they come online they start dropping large blasts, nmy has to decide pods or knights.

They are pretty equal in this kind of list. Overall the libby is more survivable vs most targets (heldrakes and vector strikes aside).
Techmarine can help to repair tanks, librarian can buff your terminators when they land/get out. Prescience on deathwing knights on the turn they power up their maces is nice.
Play them both and choose the one your prefer. There is no right or wrong on this one.
