Just looking to run something simple and straightforward.

No gimmicks, just running and gunning.

Built the list after I asked the best Tau player around what he would be most afraid of in the bug book, he said 6+ fleeting carnifexes...then we played it out and I crushed up some broadsides...

It's two lists:

0-1HQ
0-1 ELITE
1-3 TROOP
0-1 FAST
0-1 HEAVY

And each list can have one extra elite, fast, or heavy...but they can't choose the same slot.

Drop the two Tervigons and run two or 3 Crones. That way you have some TL 36 inch anti-AV. Bring the guants down to 20 each, give them spike rifles and get a brood of warriors w/ BS.

Or

Drop a Tervigon, add a VC to each Fex. Use extra points for more venomthropes.

Or

Drop both Tervigons, drop gaunts down to 20 each. Fexes down to 2.
Get a warrior brood, get two crones, get an exocrin, give regen to FHTs and Exo.


Variations of the third input has worked extremely well for me.

I like your 3rd input, but the points also have to be split between two 1000 pt lists...

Give one guy the Exo and Tervagon and the toher the Crones. Crones should probably be shooting at the same target anyways and enough gaunts can actually cover the Exo by 25%. Free cover save!
