My friend will be donating his Spess Mahreens to me since they have sat unused for years. No model counts or even what they are but I'm assuming scouts and tacticals with little to no vehicles. I will be stripping off the ultrasmurf paint and making them a lot more angry by going full blown, completely offensive (in more ways than one) counts as Angry Marines.

I am going to run them as Black Templar since I feel they best fit the angry mantra without going with the Angry Codex for multiple reasons. Here's what I have in mind for the allied detachment of Angry Marines:

HQ
Emperor's Champion

Troops
Crusader Squad:
10 Initiates with chainswords instead of sissy bolters
1 power fist
1 upgraded to sword brother with lightning claw and power foot (fist)
5 Neophytes with chainswords because duh
Dedicated transport- Land Raider Crusader

The LRC will drive as fast as it can to the closest target and the Angry cargo can charge right out of it, then drive around ramming and playing chicken with heretics. The champ can take challenges and leave my power fists/claws to stomp some butt.

Open to suggestions on how to make the above squad scarier, and adding anything that is totally assault oriented in the elite, fast attack and heavy support slots

If you don't mind Forge World, take a Carcharodens chapter. The Chapter Tactics are on the FW site somewhere, but basically you get RAGE! after sweeping or killing a squad, and Tacticals can either replace their Boltgun with a chainsword, or just straight-up buy a Chainsword for 1 point each. Great for Angry Marines.

Looking at the Carcharodons, they would definitely fit the fluff and depending on how many models I get, I may go that route. Problem I have right now is most of my armies are xeno scum and I can't ally Carcharodons with them.

If he doesn't have that many models to pull off a solid army list, I think I'm going to have to stick to BT as my base.

Been quite some time and I've really thought about how to make this allied detachment not suck so bad.

HQ
Captain- Artificer armor, LC and PF

Crusader Squad-
9 initiates with chainsword bolt pistol, PF for special weapon
1 sword brother with PF, LC
5 neophytes with chainsword and bolt pistol
LRC with multimelta as dedicated transport.

Comes in at 675 for a barrel full of hate.

The sword brother and captain can utilize the PF or LC depending on "WHAT SISSY CLOTHES THOSE ARE WEARING", while still gaining an attack.

I contemplated putting the Teeth of Terra in place of the LC, but it seems like it's a marginal gain at best, and with 16 people charging, there's a lot of matchups that wouldn't let him rampage with it anyway.

Also considered a chapter master, but I'd have to stuff him in terminator armor or the magical overpriced armor to be able to drop a pie plate when they charge out of the LRC. Seems like a lot of points for something that will most likely miss and possibly even blow up my own Angry Marines.

Thoughts?
