If you could pick any sort of terrain for Flames of War that is not currently available or is available but is cost prohibitive, not up to snuff, etc. what would it be and why?

Pretty much all of BF stuff is nice, but the cost to have enough to make a decent board you are looking at £400 - £500.

Their Vinyl roads are very nice, but you need at least two sets, then you need lots of buildings hills and other elements.

I think things missing......Would be Rail, I use HO but it's not a good scale, TT is closer but extremely rare and therefore expensive. Rail was key to WWII, much of the Armour was transported long distance by trains.

Depots, key Rail junctions and ports were vital to allied supply lines, which post D-day where very thin and the ever advancing Armies stretched this Supply chain to breaking point, Antwerp was a bit of a mess as the port was smashed when it was captured.

I think PORT and RAIL facilities are lacking, you make them youself.

I really like some of this but it's expensive as hell.

Especially as you need to model, prime, paint flock and match it to the Board.

I will be grabbing one in the next 12months and building a Bespoke Game board that I have in my minds eye.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I dont want anything BF besides the Arnhem Manor,Well because my Germans need a HQ.I am going to pimp it out as the HQ from a Bridge to Far.Other than that i would like some Styrofoam pieces the size of small refriderators so i can build my Italian mountain terrain for my 5x18 foot gaming board for our summer Italy campaign.

I have been considering bridges. What size do you guys prefer? Small rural ones or large structures like Pegasus Brdige?

I think the Canal & River Bridges are key, most smaller water courses cold be bridged relatively easily. The bigger ones across the Rhine etc, were fought over furiously.

So for me the Bigger Bridges are much more like Landmarks, and key terrain you would want to capture / Blow up.
