Not uber competitive Tournament Scene but will need to be prepared. Please advise list below.
Flyrant
Flyrant
Zoanthorpe
Venomthrope
Venomthrope
30 Gaunts
Tervigon
3 Warriors - Barbed Strangler
2 Biovores
Exocrine
Tyrannofex - beetles, acid spray
ADL
Basic tactics is walk then run turn 1 up to the ADL placed in the middle for the 2+ cover. Keeping venoms hidden as best as possible.

i think the Exocrine + tyrannofex is a poor combination. I think a brood of shooty fexes will bring much needed rate of fire for horde control.
I love the idea of the exocrine. But i have not heard any anecdotal evidence of how good the unit is yet.

to me all signs point to the exocrine being a good option.

Do you think a Mawloc could work in the list over the tfex? Unfortunately I don't have any carnifexs atm. i am interested to see the exocrine in a tournament setting. The plasma AP2 shooting is very new to nids and fill an important roll I find.

Yes but not in your current list. Biovores, Fexes and X (mawloc, exocrine or t-fex) I like both the mawloc and exocrine more than the t-fex. Mawloc is good at disruption BUT besides your flyrants it doesn't seem like you intend on pushing forward much. The Exocrine seems to fit your intended strategy more.

Can't see you getting a 2+ without some risky tactics. You can't GTG if you are in synapse (fearless) and if you are not in synapse you are opening yourself up to a world of hurt.

Let me suggest an alternate way you might be able to use the Mawloc.
Biovore, Exocrine, Mawloc
and then add a Comms Relay to the ADL. That way you have much more control over when the Mawloc comes in, and you can more or less count on him coming in twice. So you could bring him in Turn 3 to midfield where the action is, but he isn't a huge target priority. Then burrow on Turn 4, and Bring him in again Turn 5 to contest your opponent's backfield objectives.
