Haven't made an unallied BA list in a while (couple of months), heavy emphasis on assault marines:

Librarian (in assault squad 1)
Force axe, jp, shield and sword powers

Sanguinary priests x2 (in assault squad 1 and 2)
Jump pack, powerfist

Furioso
Frag cannon, meltagun, magna grapple
Pod

Furioso
Frag cannon, meltagun, magna grapple
Pod

Assault squad #1
10 man, 2 melta guns, powersword, meltabombs

Assault squad #2
10 man, 2 melta guns, powersword, meltabombs

Assault squad #3
10 man, 2 flamers, 2 hand flamers

Assault squad #4
5 man, flamer
Pod

Assault squad #5
5 man, flamer
Pod

Death company
10 man, bolters, 2 powerfists
Pod

Attack bike x3
Mulitmelta x3

2k

30 assault marines, 2 priests, libby and 3 bikes start on the board, 10 death co and 2 furiosos drop on turn 1.
Assault marine pods drop later.

Assault marine sargeants accept challenges and priests smash with fists, as does the st10 ap2 libby. Get in combat quickly and ignore flyers.

No vehicles apart from the dreads which is unusual but not unheard of for me.

Think it overloads well?

It's a fine list and single FOC BA is admirable, but marines running across the field won't work well in a competitive environment. Perhaps a comp event with fluff and sportsmanship scores (I have s tournament just like it March 1st) and it would be very good.

Cheers. Yeh I've given up on a competitive yet pure BA list. Almost the entire dex is massively overcosted. Thought Id try and get as close as possible. The idea is that the furiosos and death co will distract the opponent so the assault marines dont recieve too much fire power. If so, the turn 2 charge could prove to be decisive. The two podded assault marine units are just there to enable the arrival of both dreads and the death co on turn one, and to maybe take objectives in cover with the help of their flamers.

Not sure whether to run the attack bikes in a squad of 3 or whether to risk KPs and 1st blood by running each solo.

I think you should take away the DC and get a Baal predetor w/ flamestorm and HB that can scout than full move to flame on the first turn. The Assault marines in the pods I think should have Meltas, 1 flamer won't really do much. You can get this with the extra points from the DC. I know that you want the three pods coming down, but you still get the two fragnoughts, and I think since you still get something doing crap on the first turn you should be good.
I would take all the Attack Bikes in one squad. You can blow a tank, then move on and blow another. Just keep blowing a tank a turn.

Cheers for the reply. If I drop the DC this allows me to also drop one podded assault squad. Which means I can afford 2 flamestorm baals with HBs and 2 more attack bikes (or a priest equipped as the others for the flamer unit). Not a bad idea!
I have plenty of melta. The flamer is just a cheap 5 pts to help clear objectives. Im not expecting the podded assault squad/s to achive much bar locking a unit in combat or scoring/denial tbf.

I would drop the DC and get the two Baal Predators and then just combine the two flamer pod squads. Ten men with two flamers actually does a number on IG, Orks, Eldar Guardians and Dark Eldar and Kroot. And you can still force a lot of saves on more elite units. MM bikes are good but you already got some and the Magna/melta furioso dreads and both your Assault squads that you're trying so hard to distract your opponent from are both carrying plenty o melta.

Different topic:
I've learned that assault squads are pretty... Not great. They're not overly tough/good at holding objectives or exceptional at assault and they're fast but not like... super fast. Usually they aren't something I invest a ton of points in for a MTO type list but hey if you want to, whatever floats your Blood Angel boat bro.

Lol the pitting those two squads together is a good call. Gives me 10pts to play with too so I could upgrade them to dual melta.
I run all sorts with BA. I have a pretty large army so can go dual ravens (haven't invested in a third yet) mass mech, Death co list, Sang guard list, mass assault marine list, tri raider, or even mass tac (who would want to though?) I rarely do go mass assault marine though so it would be a surprise to my regular opponents...
Funnily enough I would be unable to run this list without investment however as I only have 1 bike squad with only 1 attack bike.
I do find assault squads good, but only if you invest a silly amount in a priest and libby to go with them, then they aren't really great or their points.

Fragnoughts are good fun. I would take one of those.
