So im going to be in a campaign and our first points value is 750 as we go up in points we have to keep our base list and just add and upgrade.So with tyranids, tau, and eldar ruling the world what should i take at 750 to prepare myself? No flyers just yet. I was thinking alot of tanks but idk. Need some help.

Well in low point games guard can really be hard to deal with as they can be large in numbers. Only problem is once you get to higher point games foot guard starts to lack and mech guard becomes better. I would probably suggest for a 750 point game to probably go mech with a CCS and a couple vet squads all with plasma or melta guns mounted in chimeras. Maybe a manticore as that will always be helpful although at low point games russes are extremely hard to deal with as your opponent usually doesnt have many options for antitank.

What exactly do you have for your IG or what do you typically play?

If you give us a list of models or if you can buy stuff that will help a lot.

But I suggest mech vets with plasma/melta and even some colossus can be good.

Melta vets all the way, vets, melta and chimera best tactic, also try and get some storm trooper maybe, but I wouldn't try and but a valc in there

I dont exactly have a ton for ig they arent my main army but i wanted to pull them out. I have 3 leman russ battle tanks, 2 chimeras,2 hellhounds, 2 manticores, a basilisk,a vandetta, 2 Sentinals, hydra, and an executioner. Im trying to see if i have enough to put up a good fight for the campaign. Depending on how my list looks i may just play with my sm army which i have more of just at low points may drag a lil.

- Vets w/ Las Canon, 3x Sniper, Forward Sentries
- Vets w/ Chimera, 2x Plasma, 1x Melta

Vets with Las Canon harass at long range in cover, Russ hammers as a fire base, Hellhound gets the enemy in cover, Vets in Chimera help secure the forward objective.
