Well, I have never played tyranids before. Never owned any of their models before and decided to get the tyranid swarm box. it came today and I started putting together lil critters. Gonna save the big guy for last since he gonna take work with magnets.
Looking at the big guy, I see he comes with 6 frickin head options so I'm assuming different ones do different things. Gonna hafta magnatize.

Now, the lil guys, Gaunts and birdies. I see they come with 2 head options. Is it cosmetic or does it matter which ones i put on.

Yes and no. For the Gaunts, technically the spikier head is the Hormagaunt and the smoother head is the Termagant. In practice, it really doesn't matter, since people will identify them by their weapons rather than by how spiky their cranial carapace is.
