I was thinking in pieces of wargear for the spacewolves , what they could get with the update, so i was thinking in themed pieces, one of them and it doest look so crazy, a special issue wargear, a frozzen amulet, piece that give shrouded to the bearer and in the first round of combat give a -1 initiative to the enemy unit, with a cost of 25 pts. It could be conssider as relic or just a special wargear for a named character.
Another idea i have from a new weapon, taken inspiration on the psychic power, how about a blizzard cannon, a 24" S3 Ap6 assualt6 rending/-1 to the enemy initiative, maybe could be salvo 3/5 with the same effect and being a TDA weapon only, for the wolf guard.

Why take a S3 Ap3 Ass6 weapon when you can take a S6 Ap4 Ass4 weapon? Sure it gives -1 Initiative but it still fails in comparison to the Assault Cannon.

Well, thats why i give it rending to make some balance

Well, I would have to disagree about the assault cannon being better. Six rending shots is always better than four, and - 1 I can be great if it's like strikedown instead of concussive.

S6 is much better than S3 though.
