As it says, local tourney being held with just "grunts" MCs allowed just no flyers. Question is help me build a decent sm list. Oh and no bikes >.<

Threw together a quick list as I wasn't sure what tatics you are using.

Chapter Master
-Terminator armor
- Shield Eternal

Terminator Assault squad
- all changed to th/ss

Legion of the damned squad
- plasma gun
- plasma cannon

Scout Squad
- Camo cloaks
- Sniper rifles

Tactical Squads
- 10men
- grav gun
- plasma cannon

ADL
- quad gun

This list come to 983 points, which gives you a few points to add little upgrades to your troops.

This list gives you 2 squads that can still drop down where they need to be and are tough as nails.

I know you won't be facing flyers, but the ADL is great for the scouts and possibly for the marine squad to start behind and gives the scouts a really good weapon against MC's should you face a lot of them.

Thanks for he list looks good, I like the idea of the two deep striking units.
- do you think a tfc could work?
- I'm using either ultramarine or IH tactics.
- idk what do you think could work?

I love the TFC, and honestly I think since there aren't gonna be any flyers, you can easily swap out the ADL/gun with a TFC for the same cost and get more infantry clearing. If you have it, I would totally make that swap.

Thunder Hammer

Troops:
10 man Tactical Squad
Flamer

10 man Tactical Squad
Flamer

Scouts
Snipers
Camo Cloaks
Teleport Homer

Elites:
Assault Terminators
TH+SS

Combat themed, with some real horrible units to remove and a couple of tactical squads to advance with, and the Scouts to sit on your home objective.
IH tactics would make these a real son of a gun to get rid of, and it comes to 1000pts.

Yea that does seem pretty good. I know for fact there will be some Tau out there. Do you think the CM with shield + termites can stand up to the fire power? Also thank you very much for the feedback. Getting some great ideas flowing. You think centurions work at this low points?

If there are Tau in this game they'll be taking pathfinders with markerlights and one hell of a lot of Fire Warriors, so some Centurions might be a good choice to take as they can weather a lot of fire, but I still prefer Assault Terminators over Centurions for flexibility. In terms of tactics you'd run up your Chapter Master and Honour Guard, get into combat with the most expensive unit he has, then when it's dead call in your Assault Terminators and roll on to the next unit.. There's one hell of a lot of 2+ in there, and if you want your Chapter Master to last longer then take out the Camo Cloaks and the Flamers and give him Artificer Armour ;D
