Trying to form a competitive Nidzilla type of list for around 2000 points So far this is what i have.
HQ
Flyrant - 2x devourers - 230
Flyrant - 2x devourers - 230
Elite
Venomthrope - 45
2x Zoanthrope - 100
Troops
30x termagaunts - 120
30x termagaunts - 120
Tervigon - regen - 225
Fast
20x gargoyles - 120
Hive Crone - 155
Heavy
2x Dakkafex - 300
Exocrine - regen - 200
Mawloc - 170
Idea is there are so many threats and monsters all coming at once. If i start the flyers on the board and far back they can zoom up in turn 1 and have 20 gargoyles 2 flyrants and a crone coming forward. At the same time there are 60 gaunts a tervigon a an exocrine 2 dakkafexes2 zoeys and a venomthrope coming right behind them. By turn 2 my whole army save the mawloc (not a garuntee he will be there or not) can already be knocking on ur door. So please, what do you guys think!?

I don't know how many points you have left, but giving one of your flyrants hive commander and have one of the gaunt blobs or tervigon outflank on your opponent would be another nasty surprise in this list. However, it does take a way from you big wave and you rely again on reserve rolls.
Outflanking gaunts with devourers tear stuff up, but they are a glass hammer.

This list leaves 15 points, Only thing about outflanking is relying on reserves, which im already doing with the mawloc, unless i dont want to see him in play till turn 3. As far as i can tell, this list seems like it could be fairly strong general list with a lil bit of everything.
anti tanks with the sheer number of str 6 and general number of monsters.
Anti infantry with my number of bodies and volume of str 6 shots.
Anti Air with 3 flyers, 2 who shoot 12 str 6 shots and 1 with a str 8 vector strike.
only thing i could see being a super big problem is full 2+ army.
Or an army with tons of ignore cover or instant deaths, for the monsters that is. But i think since i can be in my enemies face on turn 2 that i could handle it given the right things last.
Any more thoughts anyone?

My list is similiar but I have some warriors as troops for more synapse and no fast attack. With your 2 main sources of syanpse being flying MC which I will guess will be moving faster then the rest of the army only zoans protecting the rest with synapse seems it might be difficult to keep synapse.

Tervigon also gives synapse. Which is why i like to take regen on him. I could also split the zoeys into 2 squads of 1 to split up the synapse and a better chance at the fnp psychic power. That would give me 5 sources as synapse. Im not a huge fan of warriors. They just get doubled out way too easy. And i think killing a tervigon with regen who will have a 3 + armor and 3+ cover (venomthrope gives shrouded while behind guants) would be amazingly hard to kill?

If you are 100% satisfied with this list, I personally would either spend those 15 points on gargoyles, or on a cluster of spore mines. They don't give the enemy kill points, and will only cause disruption while your big boys advance. If they mishap AND are destroyed on the role of a 1, it is only 15 points. However, when they come in (which they most likely will), they will either: A) Soak up shooting from one of your opponents units. or B) be ignored and then will hit your opponent with a Str 6 AP4 large blast.
Not sure if you like it, but a fun way to spend 15 points.

3 Troop Choices seems small for 2000 points. Unless you are trying to play the kill and deny game. Just make sure your blobs of termagants don't get tied up in combat the entire game, because they are one of your few scoring units. If they do end up in combat, keep them in synapse so 20+ models don't get sweeped. You do have a lot of threats, just keep the pressure on. Regen on the exocrine. I'm not sure if this is a good use of points. It is hard to tell because I have never seen one used before. We'll have to see what people with more experience say about regen on the exocrine.
A single venomthrope is fragile. Keep him out of LoS. A single str 8 or higher shot will insta-kill him, and he will be a priority unit to kill. He may seem tough, usually getting 3+ cover, when he goes down, the cover for you whole army goes down. I like to run 2 in different units (1 in each unit), but you need the points for you MCs. Just try to keep the venomthrope out of LoS.
Something else you may want to try is giving the Tervigon the miasma cannon bio artifact. He can flamer template any drop podding or outflanking enemies late game, and fire the long range blast to support your advancing wall of MCs.
In terms of really MAJOR changes though, it is hard to tell. I haven't seen many Nidzilla lists played, and especially haven't seen many games at 2000 with the new Tyranids.

At 2k there really isn't a reason not to do double FOC with Nids. Its why 2k+ is better for Nids than smaller games. You want at least 3 dakka Flyrants. Mawlocs are great but I'd consider getting 3+ Tfexes over the Dakkafexes and Exocrines. Personally I'd go all warriors for troops to get Synapse around more.
