SoCal

I've been planning to create a forum for use by multiple stores, groups/clubs, and players in SoCal (Southern California), extending into NorCal, Arizona, and Nevada (weekend drive distance). Something like, the SoCal Tabletop Gaming Community or SCTGC. I can probably come up with a better acronym later.

It's basically a way to consolidate all this random hearsay and plans across multiple stores and gaming groups, to help organize play of a variety of games in the SoCal area.

These new forums will have both a public and private section for each club and store.

This is especially to help players find local players of smaller games like Malifaux, Infinity, etc. But can also help role playing groups, or card gamers.

As it stands, even on a place like Dakka, or other big gaming in general forums, it can be hard to filter though the global info. And the game specific forums can be quite small and specific. This forum wouldn't try to replace game specific forums, or other forums like Dakka, but would instead just consolidate local info and interest. One search through the player finder forum shows a lot of unanswered posts for local gaming.

Would anyone else from Southern California be interested in this?

I have quite a bit of web server experience and could get something running really quickly.
