Hello everyone,
I have recently been attracted back into WH40k and figured I would introduce myself to the forums of dakkadakka yayyyyyy!!! Anyway I used to play when I was in high school (couldn't decide between Eldar and Space Marines so I never really had a large army haha), but once I left school I got away from gaming and ended up joining the Marine Corps. Five years later I am now a civilian again (yayyyyyy). All of my models from the past sadly were destroyed in a basement flood in 2012 (it was a really bad flood (DAMN YOU HURRICANE SANDY *shakes fist at heavens*)). With the release of the new 6th edition codex for the Tyranids I was drawn even further to the Hive Mind. I have been doing a lot of research and it seems the community is really torn about the codex (i.e It's God awful or it allows for more theorycrafting etc. etc.) Anyway I think the buggers look cool as all hell so I have already started my collection. As it stands I should be receiving 1 Hive Tyrant, 1 Swarm Box Set (1 Carnifex, 40 termies, 40 hormies, 10 gargs, and i think 4 ripper bases?), and a box of 12 termies on top of that (no I am not super rich I just trolled the hell out of eBay and amazon haha). Anyway I was looking at the codex and I was wondering if you were to take a Tervigon as your HQ choice can you technically not have a warlord? Essentially denying a victory point to the enemy off the bat might seem cheap or bad form but I was just curious to see if that was applicable. Also I'd like to see if there were any players or leagues in the Philadelphia area as I am pretty much jumping in to this feet first. Hopefully my new units will come within the week (along with magnets.... so many magnets...), and I can start putting my guys together.
