I've been collection RAFM Call of Cthulhu minis for a long time-- I use their ghouls in my undead army, and HPL monsters make great Chaos Spawn. Their kickstarter (which ends in a matter of days) has Father Dagon and a couple of Deep One hybrids up as the latest stretch goal, and seeing the concept art side by side has inspired me to try a Deadzone mod of MA soldiers vs. CoC Deep Ones. Father Dagon will be a 1A, pure Deep Ones would be 2A, and human/Deep One hybrids 3As. If this works, then it might be fun to make stats for other CoC monsters, and scenarios based on stopping cultist rituals. The opportunity to actually use some of those minis has got me pretty jazzed!

Now showing Catachan Jungle Fighters and World War zombies!

Painting total as of 30th November 2025: 136 plus a Deva King statue

Might be worth statting up an aquatic race - something akin to XCom: Terror From the Deep, maybe?

The troopers from Mars Attacks vs. the minions of the Big C.

The Auld Grump

Kilkrazy wrote:When I was a young boy all my wargames were narratively based because I played with my toy soldiers and vehicles without the use of any rules.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.
