As the title says, I want to see if anyone has achieved good results using the new dark elf box for high elf spearmen. I very much dislike the standard high elf spearmen box as they look clumsy and bulky - lacking the elegance that you see in their concept art. I wonder if the Dark elves still look too 'evil' or recognisably dark elf after a different paint scheme. Obviously the shields and banner would need to change to pull this off but I can't tell if any other modification would be required. From the shots on the GW website they look fairly neutral, plate armour looking slightly more angled but nothing too extreme.
