So I'm teaming up with a Farsight Enclaves list and decided to take my GKs. What do you thinking of this list?

9x Warrior Acolytes with Bolters - Rhino with Searchlight

3x Warrior Acolytes - Razorback with Psyammo and Searchlight

10x Warrior Acolytes with Stormbolters 1x Jokaero Weaponsmith 1x Psyker

For a 500 pt army there is plenty of shootiness, and you'd be hard pressed to cram any terminators or even standard GKs into that small a point total anyway.

The only thing I might consider while playing with Tau are taking a small deep strike unit (maybe a strike squad with incinerator/psycannon) to threaten the far end of the table against assault armies. You can always add a mystic to one of your acolyte squads in the tanks in case you need to deep strike that unit in a tight spot behind your own lines as well. You can add that by removing the foot squad with the Jokaero and maybe one more acolyte somewhere.

Looks like a fun list for a doubles tournament either way, and the razorbacks squads are awesome.

*Also - minor disclaimer: I have very little experience with Tau, so if the list you are pairing with has excellent mobility please feel free to completely ignore any of the things I said haha.

Thanks for the input. Since he's playing Farsight Enclave, he is bringing lots of mobile crisis suits that are scoring. I think this covers mobility really well, Add that to me having a rhino and 2 razorbacks with scoring I think we should do well there. I forgot to add the equipment on the INQ, looks much better now. BTW, his crisis suits can DS if needed.

Well, we took 3rd place. Lost a close game in round 1 to the eventual tourney winners. Overall I was very happy with the games. Did learn that we really had nothing to deal with the common ChapterMaster on bike with eternal shield.
