Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

165pts: Tau Commander w/ 1x Marker Drone, Talisman of Arthas Moloch, 2x Missile Pods, Drone Controller, Target Lock

70pts: Spiritseer

ELITES
235pts: Riptide w/ HBC, EWO, VT, ECPR
190pts: Riptide w/ IA, EWO

Troops
70pts: Kroot w/ Sniper Rounds
205pts: 3x Crisis w/ 4x Fusion Blasters, 2x Target Lock, AFP+CIB, 3x Shield Drones
195pts: 3x Crisis w/ 6x Plasma Rifles, 3x Shield Drones
160pts: 5x Wraithguard w/ Wraithcannons

FAST ATTACK
70pts: 5x Marker Drones (Joins Commander)

HEAVY SUPPORT
95pts: 1x Broadside w/ HYMP, 2x Missile drones, EWO
95pts: 1x Broadside w/ HYMP, 2x Missile drones, EWO
300pts: Wraithknight w/ Suncannon+Scattershield, 1x Scatter Laser

My plan was to control the table using the MC's allowing the crisis to hold objectives mid and deep tables while the Kroot hang back on home objectives and the wraithguard deal with tougher units and tank. Commander had 7 BS5 markerlights tor support and can fire his missiles at other targets, the Spiritseer will stay with the wraiths for Spiritmark and powers. I would have loved to run them as Iyanden but apparently you can have 2 supplements

Should be solid. I assume your elder are primarily there to get a wraithknight on the board?

I like the cyclic, but the AFP is a bit meh. You can get ignore cover on stronger blasts from your markerlights if you really need it, or have a flamer do the job for less. The CIB makes for decent anti tank, so maybe fusion here as well, and then split/overcharge for the blast if needed?

The wraithguard need a serpent or to be in a full squad. You could just take jetbikes and keep the spiritseer with the broadsides. Alternatitvely, take jetbikes/rangers and get a farseer on a bike to join the commander, riptides, or even broadsides.

Each broadside risks a morale check if a drone pops. With Ld8, you could easily lose one. I would take them in one squad and put an Hq here, or take a 'vre for better leadership. Alternatively, drop the drones.

Yea, A big part of having the eldar was the wraithknight. Im still undecided on how to run it. Naked or with the sun cannon.

I quite like the afp but I see your point. It doesnt really match the rest of the squad. I generally use it for taking potshots at weak troop units while the fusions splitfire at av targets.

I really wanted the wraithguard in this list. Partly due to the theme of an all elite army, to shore up my anti tank and because I dont own any jetbikes. Looking pointswise I could get over 9 jetbikes for the same cost but then I would be lacking their s10 guns. I have some dire avengers but I dont see them having the same impact. My plan was to move them up using the mc's as distraction units and hope they arnt enough of a priority to focus on before they can destroy their target. With T6 they will only effectivly die to anti tank weapons and with any luck ill get a decent psychic power to protect them on the way.

Good point on the missilesides. I had them in seperate squads so they could hit different targets. Do you think they would be better in 1 unit or without drones? As they are bonded they always regroup on leadership 8 and I generally set them up quite far forward due to their limited range.

Thanks for the advice

If you need the AP2 blasts, take the suncannon. Great for TEQ and stuff, but the wraithcannons are generally the better build. This is also cheaper so you can get more broadsides or what have you.

Wraithguard need to be 10 strong on foot. Even with psychic buffing, 5 will die faster than you think. THey are expensive fire magnets, with some damage output. 10 wraiths are very hard to shift. Consider wraithblades with axes and shields for a 4++. You could also put them in a serpent, which is awesome because it would add a serpent, and a much faster, deadly threat. Your MC's will draw AT fire, along with the serpent.

Unless you fall below 25%, you can always regroup on normal Ld. Meaning your solo sides will always be able to regroup at Ld8. Since you have to bond anyways, you would be able to rally the squad on the last suit(if you keep the drones). The problem is not regrouping, it is breaking in the first place. If you are only 12" away from the edge, you might hit the edge and lose the unit. Further up gives you more grace, but every turn your broken or rallying, your not shooting. The turn you rally, you will only be able to snap fire. Still better to save them than turn tail and running, but losing a stupid drone could cost you a turn of shooting, and then another if you lose the next. Having multiple targets is good, but it is better to kill one target for sure than to plink several.

I like the first list far more. Run the wraithguard as one big squad to benefit from psychic buffing and protect the seer. Move one of the marker drones from the squad to the commander, as they cost less. Use the spare points to get a neuroweb jammer on the commander.(do this in both lists)

Never take twin linked guns on the commander; BS5 is a terrible thing to waste. Take 2 missile pods on the 1st list commander, you can get the points by switching the AFP to a flamer.

Alot of peiple seem to be against the afp. Its the only barage tool in the tau armoury and another largw blast to boot. With the overall low amout of markerlights in the list, al be it they are bs5, I feel like another large blast ignore cover for hordes would be useful. But I also agree that tl on the bs5 commander is a waste. Can you see any other ways I could get back the points?

Also the nuroweb jammer cant be taken in a farsight enclave. Iv made a few other changes. But your advice was helpful I spoting inefficiencies. Thanks

I cpuld drop one weaithguard and have a squad of 9. That would free up points for wargear and markerlights
