Hey all, I am very new to this. I just got back into 40k after 5 years after a couple of my friends asked me about playing again. I have a passion for Warhammer like never before! This XV8 is my first attempt, so go easy on me, but could I have some advice? Any advice would be wonderful. This is still a W.I.P, but I thought that whilst I'm waiting on delivery of some black paint to paint the metals, I may as well seek some help from the members of this seemingly great forum. Thanks!

Somewhere in south-central England.

Frankly that looks great to me. It's not Golden Demon but it is a more than adequate tabletop model and you should have no worries about laying an army like that out for a game.

I would detail the burst cannon in a metallic or grey colour.

The base is nice as well.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Apart from the fact that it is not completely painted, it is good tabletop quality. I wouldn't use white for highlights, too much contrast and no connection to the rest of the colours.
