Hello all I was wondering if dakka could help me with this as I've had no luck with other forums. I was looking for some tips on how to paint my fellblade for my blood angel army. I was looking for tips on how to apply wash to the model without getting brush marks and pooling. I was also looking for some weathering techniques.

If anyone could help me with anything it would be much appreciated.

Thanks dakka.

Hum, gunna rummage around for some links and see if they help:

From the Warp's vehicle article index - plenty of weathering articles and a few on super-heavies, several authors http://fromthewarp.blogspot.co.uk/2009/05/power-of-machine-spirit.html

... drat, seems I don't keep many tank-painting links about. Hope that helps at least!

An oil wash is what you are looking for.

Voodoo has an excellent weathering tutorial. Its in German but you can see what he is doing with the two techniques he demonstrates.

Awaken/Meadows also does a great tutorial on weathering and a theme you could try with red.
