Hey guys, I am nearing completion of my highborn dwarf mercs and will be looking to pick up the final pieces of my collection. My local competition wants to move up to 35 and 50 point steamroller lists which will be generally new territory for me, we have been playing at 25 mostly. Here are a few lists that I could use advice on. All of them are built around Durgen Madhammer's posse (reinholdt, doug, thor).

35pt:
Durgen Madhammer - +6wj
-Driller - 6
-Reinholdt - 1

Master Gunner Doug - 2

Thor Steinhammer - 2

Order of the Amethyst rose - 6
-Officer - 2

Max Horgenhold Forge Guard - 8

Alexia Ciannor and the Risen - 5

Max Sam Machorne and the Devil Dogs - 7

Rhupert Corvalo - 2

My big concern with this list is that its a ton of infantry, like lots and lots of infantry, and it might have a bit of trouble taking out hard targets despite having alot of access to weapon master models (forge guard and Thrall warriors), extra damage from the pickaxes, and general heavy target mitigation (Net KD, thunderbolts, etc.). Might be OK if I can use the Devil Dogs to good effect, slug guns + CRA can inflict some crazy damage.

35pt:
Durgen Madhammer - +6WJ
-Ghordson Earthbreaker - 19
-Reinholdt - 1

Master Gunner Doug - 2

Thor Steinhammer - 2

Horgenhold Forge guard - 8

Alexia Ciannor and the Risen - 5

Rhupert Corvalo - 2

Gorman Di Wolfe - 2

Little bit different, half the infantry in exchange for the earthbreaker. Not 100% on the forge guard with Durgen, just cant seem to bring myself to lose that giant brick of weapon mastered hammers. Also debating between Alexia+Gorman/Rhupert or the Devil Dogs. The earthbreaker can provide massive amounts of KD, effectively turning the Devil Dogs into weapon masters. I have used that combo to good effect, Quake cannon to KD a large swath of targets followed up by a charge from the devil dogs dealing 12+4d6. Pretty effective for such cheap and versatile infantry.

50pt:
Durgen Madhammer - +6WJ
-Ghordson Earthbreaker - 19
-Reinholdt - 1

Master Gunner Doug - 2

Thor Steinhammer - 2

Max Forge Guard - 8

Order of the Amethyst Rose - 6
-Officer - 2

Alexia Ciannor and the Risen - 5

Sam Machorne and the Devil Dogs - 7

Rhupert Corvalo - 2

Gorman Di Wolfe - 2

Basically combined both lists. Has the earthbreaker for massive KD and crushing hard targets with P+S 22 fists. It has a ton of infantry as to be expected, supported by Rhupert for Pathfinder/DEF/Tough. Planning on using the Gun Mages to take out stealth, solos, and push key hard targets together so that Gorman can try and land blind on multiple targets.

Any suggestions beside practice and get better at running these units?

Why aren't you taking advantage of Prime? That is to say, I don't see any obvious prime targets like Nyss Hunters or Steelhead Halberds.

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

Risen and devil dogs are the prime targets. I have tried using steelheads but I have not found an effective way to utilize the explosion from primed to deter them from being killed. I know that you can position them opposed from each other so an enemy model is forced to suffer a free strike but that seems to take up so much board space that it never seems practical.

Aren't the never ending horde of suicidal risen the most obviousprime targets?

I think I need to play some more games using steelheads to try and figure out how to use them correctly

* My bad, wrong Alexia. I was thinking of Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire.
