How much experience do you have playing 'Crons?

Some 4th edition. Played two weeks with a 500 point list with the 6th ed. rules.The FOs actually did quite well with infiltrate/outflank, coming from behind and killing walkers with glances from behind. For 500 pts, I ran 2 immortal squads and 7 FOs. I'm adding the monolith for the deepstrike eternity gate.

The Monolith with the Flayed will work well. Glad to see someone else using them, I just finished converting my last one for a full unit of 20. Have a little bit of basing to do then paint!

Either your description is bad, or you did something wrong, but did you assault the walker vehicles to get glancing hits on the rear? Did you assault on the turn you showed up?

Just curious, because it sounds like you might need a little help on the game.

I was playing orks. The FOs came in as the immortals were charged by the big can. The squad held up long enough for the FOs to charge it on the following turn from the rear. 21 base hits, plus 7 extra for charging was enough die to squeeze out enough 6s to shred the can to pieces

But... hitting the REAR armor?
On a walker in close combat?
(I thought walkers were always hit on their front armor in combat)

Skoffs is right, close combat walkers are always hit on their front armour.

I knew something was funny. Walkers are only hit on the rear in CC when immobilized. So unless there was a Warscythe in there that managed to immobilize it then it wasn't done right. FOs are Infantry killers.

On the upside, you're aware of the rule now and it won't happen again.
