If you use vindicators , i would use two. Take that instead of the devs. Furioso dread should have frag cannon and heavy flamer. Probably the best BA unit. You should put the squads in razorbacks. Then take away the priest. And the defence line. This looks like a lot for 2000. Baal preds are good though.

Dump the Vindi and the devs. They are both poor units.

At 2K, I'd probably get a second SR and change the aegis line to comm link. I'd also change the dread to a fragnought. I'd also dump the flamer Baals and get dakka Baals. They can keep their AV 13 front facing the enemy MUCH longer.

Jump troops and mech angels in razors have their strengths and weaknesses in 6th. A bit of a hard call really. If going with jump troops, absolutely use the priest and get SoS on your libby.

This argument on baal preds will go forever. you just need to find what you like best.

On Flamer vs Dakka ? Dakka most (all) of the time. Flamestorm Baals desperately need torrent, otherwise they're suicide units that Frag Dreads do better.

I probably wouldn't use Baals at all though unless i was going for a AV13 saturation list - and then I'd go for 3x AC/LC Preds and 3x Furiosos before picking Baals.

I love baals with flame cause they can easily clean up troops from obj and they can be used agains hordes For tanks i got the razorback and 2 ravens. Also i got the stenguard for first blood claimer. Coms relay to ensure that the raves WILL come. Liby gives pretty much the hole army a cover and the priest give FNP at the 2 squads.Dread drops as soon as raven comes in.

Not having torrent makes flamer Baals very dubious, as Bartali outlined above.

3X fragnought and 3X autolas would be pretty aggravating many lists, I agree.

Also note that dakka Baals also massacre troops. They just do it differently. If you face scouts or rangers, they get a fragnought to the face and get owned.

Dakka Baals are kinda 'eh'. 24" on the main gun can expose it's paper side armour, and while it has 10 shots, six of those are Heavy Bolter shots. It's ok, but outclassed by (lol) Wave Serpents and anything with Ignores Cover.

I should probably add, if your group allows Forgeworld, a Sicaran is much much much better than the BA tanks. Shame we can only take one !

It's the BA. I'm used to 'eh'. And 24" is a lot more play than flamer template range.
