I found some Mordian Iron Guard models on ebay and I ant to work them into my Sisters army as a allied detatchment. Since I want to throw a couple tanks in I was wondering if anyone knew what color their tanks are?

the IG codex has Cadian, Catachan, Valhallan, Kreig, and Vostroyan tanks in it, but no Mordian.

thanks

Any colour you want.

Traditional uniform colours are rather bright and ceremonial looking, so their tanks could be anything really.

Not an official colour scheme but this one on google images looks pretty sweet.

Way back in 1999 in WD was launching a new ID Codex they did some fun little history fluff for each of the 'big' regiment with accompanying pictures. The Mordian tanks had dark, gun metal grey schemes. It was arguably dull but greatly contrasted their ornate uniforms.

The scheme in the link just reminds me of the Ultramar Auxilia.

Oh What a Lovely War.

They custom tailor car covers for their tanks that look exactly like their dress uniforms, right down to the collars for the turrets, fancy epaulets on the sponsons, and brass buttons down the back.

Well...it makes about as much sense as fighting in their dress blues...

Yeah I remember that too from way back. Hints of black as well weren't there? The colour scheme in KorPhaeron's post looks great though, I will say.

However bright/dull a colour scheme you do go for though, I'd make it the tanks look very clean & well maintained, with no camo. The Mordian equipment always looked at the higher end of the technical scale compared with the other regiments (thinking of their heavy weapon teams). They're a very well-drilled, determined outfit obviously so their vehicles should reflect that.

All the best with 'em!
