My LGS is having a 42 point SR2014. I thought I had my 35 and 50 point lists pretty good to go, but now I got thrown this 42 point curveball and I'm trying to cope. First list is eDoomshaper:
eDoomy
Mulg
Earthborn
Mauler
Axer
Min KSB, UA
Janissa
Whelps x2
This list is mostly for scenarios where there's only one objective to contest, and/or when I expect to need to crack crazy armor (AS Stormwall mostly). The biggest issue is how fragile Doomy is, so I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to toss the Mauler to max out the KSB and add a unit of Warders to act as his personal bodyguard. I need to test out the list both ways but I appreciate any feedback. If I did that I can no longer treat ARM22 stormwalls like a triviality, but would have to try to chip at them over two turns with refuge cycling and Janissa wall denial, which is never a fun thing to try.
I actually have 2 more lists that I'm trying to decide between. These would be my more generalist lists. First off, Calandra:
Calandra
Impaler
Bomber
Runebearer
Max Dygmies
Max Fenns plus UA
Sons of Bragg
Fell Caller
Chronicler
Thumper
Calandra is a simple enough strategy. A bit of a surprise assassination attempt in the form of the Bomber, plus Roulette every turn ****ing with opponent's dice math. I feel like she's a lot more reliable at the local steamroller level more so than she would be competitively. The Thumper is weird, I know, but I had 3 points and I figure with her it's actually a pretty respectable artillery piece with the reroll. Again, need to test that assertion.
Other option would be eGrim, with a very similar list.
eGrim
Impaler
Bomber
War Wagon
Max Dygmies
Max Fenns + UA
Fell Caller
Swamp Gobbers
I have only ever played eGrim thrice before, so I need to test it a bunch, but this is my annoying little bag of tech in list form. Mirage on the Fenns can be downright evil, and Mortality shuts down opposing Troll infantry (especially boomies!). I'm worried about my ability to crack armor though if need be - most opponents I should have no trouble wrecking face just with mortality, but an ARM-buffed colossal is going to be hard to take down if their caster just spends the game sitting behind it.
I'd appreciate any and all suggestions.
